Easy to begin
The symmetry provides an immediate structure, so you can start making choices without needing a complete plan.
Interactive creativity
Create a mandala one choice at a time.
Mandalafy is a free interactive design tool that turns simple gestures into symmetrical patterns.
You choose the colors, shapes, placement, rhythm, and direction. The structure helps you begin, but the finished design emerges through your decisions.
Create for the experience itself, save what you make, or place the finished design on a product if you choose.
Structure and freedom
A blank canvas can feel liberating, but it can also make it hard to know where to begin. Mandalafy offers a starting structure: rotational symmetry around a shared center.
Each mark is repeated across the design. A small movement can become a flower, a wheel, a field of overlapping shapes, or something that does not resemble anything you expected.
The pattern gives your choices coherence without deciding what those choices should be.
How it works
There is no single correct sequence and no required finished result. The process develops through experimentation.
Select colors, shapes, line styles, symmetry, and other elements that will influence the design.
Draw and experiment while each gesture is repeated around the center of the mandala.
Notice what is emerging, revise your choices, and continue developing the composition.
Save the finished image or, if you choose, place your design on a product.
The creative experience
Mandalafy is designed to make creativity approachable, active, and rewarding throughout the process.
The symmetry provides an immediate structure, so you can start making choices without needing a complete plan.
Color, repetition, rhythm, and immediate visual feedback can draw your attention into the developing design.
Each choice changes what comes next. Unexpected relationships emerge as the pattern becomes more complex.
The tool supplies the structure, but you choose every color, gesture, placement, and direction.
Making with a tool
Mandalafy does not ask you to describe an image and wait for a finished result. You remain involved throughout the process.
Every line changes the composition. Each choice creates new relationships, and you respond to what is already present much as you might respond to paint, clay, sound, or another creative medium.
The tool handles repetition and symmetry. You provide the direction, judgment, curiosity, and willingness to experiment.
Beyond the screen
Creating the mandala can be the entire experience. The tool is free to use, and there is no need to buy anything.
You can save the finished design as a digital image. When you want something tangible, you can also place it on a print, notebook, shirt, or another available product.
The product is optional. The design—and the experience of creating it—comes first.
An ongoing creative project
I continue to create with Mandalafy, refine the software, and explore what the tool can become.
The best way to understand the project is not simply to read about it, but to make something.
